    3. Charles makes a good point, as we are sending a message to a large number of (often busy) people each time we respond to someone's email on a list such as this. We need to remember that we are not just replying to the one individual on the list. When we lose interest in a certain subject, we tend to start deleting messages with that "subject line." So, if you change the subject, be sure to change the "subject line". Even if you do not change the subject, it does not hurt to modify the "subject line" to better reflect what you are adding to the dialog. It is easy to forget that you are on a large list of people and make a quick response of "thanks" or "me, too" or to ask a personal question. I suspect we have all done it a few times, but we should respond with a private message to the one individual instead of the dis-interested whole list. John G.
