We have eliminated Willis MCCOY (MECOY) of NC as the father of William MCCOY who married Joanna PAYNE. We are researching William MCCOY of VA, died about 1764?, as father and there is a strong indication that the Anna MCCOY who married John STUMP (second marriage) was William's mother. Judy McCoy
