    3. Hi David Since receiving your email about Joseph Robert Hoyle I have discovered a lot more with the help of other kind people in the USA. Joseph Robert Hoyle married a lady called Charity Benhan or Behen in Indiana. They moved to Kentucky some time around 1874 as in the 1880 census, (After Joseph Robert Hoyle had died in 1879) The family were enumerated in Cloverport as follows. Charity Hoyle Widow 36 born Indiana Minnie Hoyle Daur 9 born Indiana,Fathers birthplace England JESSIE HOYLE Daur 7 born Kentucky, fathers birthplace England So it does look as though you have found a record of Joseph and Charity's Daughter Jessie. How would I be able to send for a copy of this marriage David and what additional information would be on the marriage certificate? Your message has given me yet another link in this family's life in the USA. Thanks again for your help. 2. Hi all.... I redid the main page again, hoping to make it a little easier to find things. The "Wills" section is now a part of the "Deeds and Court Documents" section. When you click on the link, it will take you to a page listing all the wills so far submitted, as well as the submitter and the date submitted. On the Marriages, they now are two individual links on the main page. One is indexed alphabetically by bride surname, the other is indexed alphabetically by groom surname. Have a great one! 3. Could someone please advise how I can obtain death certificates for Joseph and Charity Hoyle and birth certificate for Jessie. Also would anyone on the list have access to later Census information on the family. David, Kentucky did not maintain birth and death certificates until 1911, when they became mandatory and the law began to be enforced. However, for a period of time 1852 to the early 1900s they tried to enforce that registration would be done. Most did not follow these rules. There are records called Vital Statistics for several KY counties, on microfilm and in book form, that cover this time frame. However, the period around the time of these deaths is not covered and I doubt they would be included. If you contact the archives, in Breckinridge County, I think they may have these in book form and could check these for you. Regards, Virginia L. 1. GenWeb Archives updates
    2. Hi all.... I've been working on the Obituary/Death Notices and should have more to place on the pages tomorrow night, but for now those listed below have been added. Also, I happen to be one of the unlucky ones to have AOL... and as a result, I've not been getting any of my mailing lists for a week now. Luckily I can go to the Archives section and pull up the postings, it just makes for some really trying times. I called and voiced my thoughts about it all to AOL tonight, but I think it went no where. Just bear with me a little longer... if they don't get this straightened out shortly, they'll be losing a 10 year customer very quickly. Here's the additions to the Archives section: Obituary/Death Notices: (Surnames B, C, G, J, K, M, P) Newspaper Articles: Breckinridge News Dana Brown Breckinridge County, Kentucky GenWeb Archives Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ky/breckinridge/toc.html Mail to: BrieSkate@aol.com

I'll get on it as soon as I can. Thanks... Dana Breckinridge County, Kentucky GenWeb Archives Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ky/breckinridge/toc.html Mail to: BrieSkate@aol.com

    1. GenWeb Archive additions/updates
    2. Hi all... Wanted to send out a little more info to what's been added to the GenWeb Archives site. I've been working on the main page and subpages and there is now a retooled section dealing with Newspapers, the Court Documents/Deeds, and with Death Certificates. Some time here soon, due to some things I've recently found, I'll eventually be retooling the marriage section. On the Newspapers, you can look according to specific newspaper's (Breck. Co. Herald-News, Breckinridge News, or Irvington Herald) to see what's there. Right now there's a few things on regarding the Breckinridge News... hoping to get more things later on for the other two papers. On the Death Certificates, they are now listed alphabetically by surname. Hopefully that will let you all see what's there at a glance, and if it's something you might be interested in. On the Court Records and Deeds, I've made it to where the various records can be accessed according to the type of court record they are. Right now there is only submissions for the Breckinridge News. The Custer Cemetery was updated (Lynch-Newton; partial). And there's been several updates to the Obituaries/Death Notices section, and there is an entry update to Cloverport Cemetery. Many thanks to Dave Rafferty for his Tombstone/Cemetery submission, and Gerald "Jerry" and Linda Sparks Starr for their deeds/court records submissions! Happy Hunting! 1. Obituary finds and updates
    2. Hey all... I was trying to find some missing tombstone pictures someone had submitted and in the process found some obituaries that had been listed within the mailing list, but weren't on the Archives site. So, will be working to link those to the obituary page. There seems to be a handful, that I've found so far, but I should be getting them all linked here in a bit. Also, I learned that there is a problem with AOL receiving email from Rootsweb and passing it on to their customers... which would explain why I haven't gotten an email concerning any of the mailing lists I'm on, in almost a week. I'm trying to click a little more often on the Archive section of the mailing list so I won't miss any postings. So if I don't respond to a question or comment... you can just email me directly and we can go from there. Almost have another page of Custer Cemetery to add to the Tombstone Index... so keep an eye out for it!
