If anyone has info on the Robertson family in Breckinridge Co.[bn. in or from Tennessee] that could possibly tie to Louis, can you please help me with Lewis? Thanks, Judy

I appreciate it very much!! Now I have the names of other members of the family. One of Morgan's daughters, Mary, ended up living in Ohio Co., KY, and being buried in the Gentry-Petty Cemetery where many of my Gentry relatives are buried. So I was trying to trace her to make sure she wasn't a relative. Thanks again for the time you took to look up this information for me. Sheran, the youngest child of Morgan and Mary Sheran, married Benjamin P. Petty. They lived for a while in Breckinridge Co., KY, and then moved to Ohio Co., KY. She and her husband are buried in the Gentry-Petty Cemetery in Ohio Co., KY. My line is the Gentrys. I was researching Benjamin P. Petty and his wife to see if by chance that they were related to my Gentrys, and it looks like they were not. This was before I discovered Mary's maiden name. However, in the process, I have a little information on Benjamin Petty and Mary Sheran , if you would be interested in that information. Sorry, I have no information on Aaron Sheran or Thomas Sheran. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YAB.2ACI/2711.2 Message Board Post: Karen, Are you descended from this line by chance? Several of us have been corresponding on the Shearin and Shearon boards in recent days about Morgan and his brother, Thomas, and what became of them. It looks like Morgan moved from Wilson County, Tennessee, to Breckinridge County by 1850. Do you know anything about Thomas? There are so many in the family with that given name that it's harder to trace. I am descended from Aaron Houston Shearon (born ca. 1830, died before 1880), who lived in Wilson and Sumner counties in Tennessee. I do not know his parentage, but a family headed by another earlier Aaron Shearin/Sherron and wife Johanna moved there from North Carolina in the early 1800s and had three sons, Morgan, Thomas and William. William, also known as Buck, had a well-documented family that did not include my Aaron Houston. I've looked for evidence to confirm or rule out whether Aaron Houston is the son of Morgan or Thomas. Hi all... Just real quick, an addition of a page for Breckinridge County Herald News newspaper articles was added, and on it are two entries. They comprise a whole article that was originally ran in the July 6 & 13, 1988 editions of the Breckinridge County Herald News newspaper concerning the history of Big Spring. Happy Hunting! Hi all... Back sometime towards the end of last year, I remember a discussion on the list concerning a McHenry Meador. Meador is one of my family lines, but not one I was looking for (at the time), so I just glanced over the talk on the list. That's why I can't remember who the individuals were, and I've brought the names back up to the list. Today I received a small package from my cousin in Wisconsin and in it is an article she's letting me borrow. This article was in the Breckinridge Herald-News on July 6, 1988 and talked mainly of Big Springs. In it, though, was mention of area business men as well as solo pictures of McHenry and Mary Richardson Meador. I'll be posting the article (which was big enough that it ran in two consecutive editions), but wondered if the individuals involved in the earlier list conversation would want to see the pictures of these two individuals. I'm going to try and find a flat bed to scan the pictures, as there are several pictures and maps that accompany the article, otherwise it'll have to be a Xerox copy that is scanned and sent through email. If the individuals, or anyone interested in a copy of it, would like to email me privately, just let me know. Thanks.... Hi all... I've been working hard the past couple of days to get things together and uploaded for the Archives site. Here's what's been done as of 2/4/2006: Additions: Breckinridge News Death Certificates: "A" page Custer Cemetery (Oliver-Sosh; partial... and Spradlin-Wright; partial) Updates: Death Certificates: "B" and "D" pages Marriages pages I also worked on the Military section so that the information was listed by war service on the main page. Eventually they will be retooled and a link to each war that is represented by records will be on the main page. With the last of the photos of Custer UMC cemetery going on tonight, it completes what I presently have of the markers. I know that there are still 5 rows on the left and one marker on the right side of the cemetery that I still have to get... so hopefully come the end of April I'll have all those to totally complete the Tombstone Index project for the Custer UMC cemetery. My next project is to continue working on what's sent in, as well as work on the "DC's" (death certificates) I have, as well as begin working on uploading Big Springs UMC cemetery. It is a large one too, so it will take some time. Happy Hunting!
