Both she and Abraham are buried in Bewleyville (cemetery unknown). If all the Triplett's in that area are part of the Thomas Sr line it would stand to reason she must be related. I have been searching for her for several years. Thanks!

Hi all.... Garfield Cemetery is now completely online and available for everyone to access on the GenWeb Archives site. Out of over 450 markers, there are approximately 13-15 that I'll need to retake due to camera batteries being low and causing a blurring of those few pictures. The online portion is a combination of two transcriptions that have taken place since 1978 (the other being in 1993 or 1994, if I remember right), and the photographs taken of the visible markers. There are a one or two that I have to go back and try to figure out who they are as the marker condition is so bad they are pretty much undecipherable. There were 12 fieldstone/sandstone markers, and two areas that I took a general shot as I believe there are unmarked graves there, but have been unable to ascertain if I am right or not. I'm going to take a couple of days worth of a break and rest the eyes before tackling the remainder of Garfield Baptist Church's roll book as well as Mt. Zion Baptist Church's roll book. Once those are finished, I'm going to plow into the 1870 census for several months so that some of the Enumeration Districts can finally be placed online. Y'all have a good one....Happy Hunting! Hi all... Wanted to let you all know the bulk of Garfield Cemetery is now online. There are still about 30 or so that I have to get online, but after 11 hours of keying in the information, my eyes are completely shot. Happy Hunting! Hi all.... While working on keying in the Garfield Cemetery, I saw a suggestion on one of the administrative mailing lists that I'm signed up for. I thought it was a good idea and that it might help you all out in knowing what is "new" to the site. On the main Breck. Co. GenWeb Archives page I've placed a link to a new page called, "What's New!!". It's the very first box on the table that lists each category. On this page will be one to two months of listings (depending on the amount received and placed on the Archives site) of what has been added or updated to the various pages on the Archives site. Once the one or two months is over, rather than "zap out" the page and start a new one for new info... I'll have it to where it can still be accessed, but it won't be the "current page". The current page of "updates/additions" will be the link on the actual wording of "What's New". I figured if by some chance someone misses getting a mailing list email in which I've let you all know something is up... or someone goes on vacation and comes back to a ton of mail and doesn't want to read every little piece, there will be a place everyone can access to see what's new to the site. I know there have been a lot of changes recently, and hopefully you guys have seen them as good changes. I know it's been a little confusing at times... and my sincerest apologies for any confusion... but the changes have been done to make it as easy and simple as possible to access the genealogy info out there for Breck. Co. I want to try and cover all the bases as possible, and thought this might be another way to help someone out. I'm sure there will be more tweaking in the future, so please just bear with me as it all falls into place. Heading back to keying in info on Garfield Cemetery! Happy Hunting! Since the marriage in question was before 1831, "The Cut-off" couple, Matthews and Clark, were married in Ohio County, Kentucky.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YAB.2ACI/2740.1.1.2 Message Board Post: The marriage of Nancy Eskridge Matthews is documented in Ohio Co., Kentucky, records. Tthe Falls of Rough area of what is now Grayson County, Ky., formed in 1810, was then Ohio County, Ky. William and Mary Matthews gave consent for the marriage. Wayne also has thought that Mary Matthews was quite likely an Eskridge simply because of the naming but has no empirical evidence to support that possibility. Both the George Eskridge and Wiliam Matthews families lived in Westmoreland County, Virginia, during the Revolutionary War period. George Eskridge (KY) first migrated to Fauquier County, Virginia, where he married his second wife Elizabeth Robinson, daughter of Nathaniel Robinson. After some time in Fauquier County, they moved to the Grayson County, Ky., and the Falls of Rough area. Interestingly, Nancy Eskridge Matthews was born about 30 years before the George Eskridge family moved to the Falls of Rough area of Grayson County, KY. Another Westmoreland Co., Va., family, the Wilsons, settled in the Falls area as well. There may be others. (From Wayne Meador)
