    3. Hello, I know the Crawford name is a common name, but is this the same Crawford family, who had a George S. (born in Canada) who married Mary Jane Brown in 1872 in Lincoln, Nebraska? I assume that George S. died about 1892, because Mary Jane married 2) Arnold Still in 1893. My Brown family was in Hardin County, KY, then Spencer Co, IN, the Porter Co., IN then Lancaster Co., NE. Mary Jane died in northern Idaho. 3. I believe they are different people, although I do have both names for him only because of the 1850 and 1870 censuses listing him as Henry. His name is Hilary. I also have a Joseph Henry McGary who married Lubertha Unknown. This may be Lubertha/Bertha Vessels that you mentioned. He also went by Henry and was b. in 1841. He was son of John Henry McGary (brother to William F. McGary). You will find both Hilary McGary with wife Margaret and five of their 11 children and H. J. McGary with wife Lubertha and daughter Esther on the 1880 Hardinsburg, Breckinridge census. [email protected] wrote: Today's Topics: 1. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YAB.2ACI/4515.1 Message Board Post: Theresa, I read your query about Alta St. Clair. I found a few things that may help with your research. In the past 26 years I have bought a few rolls of micrfilm of the old Breckinridge News, and I extracted obituaries out of them. Luckily 1960, 1961 and 1978 are among the microfilm that I bought. I found the obit for your Alta St. Clair Hendrick in 1961, and her husband, Glenn Emory Hendrick who died in 1978. I also found the obituary for Alta's sister, Mildred Elizabeth St. Clair Henderson, and Glenn Hendrick's 2nd wife, Agnes. Mildred's husband is Peyton Jesse Henderson, buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Irvington in Breckinridge County, Ky. Peyton and Mildred have a tombstone. I've been taking the Breckinridge County Herald-News since May 1980 and have saved all the obituaries. Which is where I got the obits for Mildred Henderson and Agnes Hendrick. Breckinridge News, issue dated Friday, February 10, 1961 Mrs. Glenn (Alta St. Clair) Hendrick, age 70, died Monday, February 7 (1961) at her home in Irvington. The funeral was held Wednesday (Feb 15) from the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington. Survivors include her husband, a sister, Mrs. P.J. Henderson, a niece Mrs. Jess Gilpen, and a great nephew Jimmy Gilpen, all of Irvington. Mrs. Hendrick is the daughter of the late Jim & Margaret St. Clair of Webster. She was a Breckinridge County school teacher. Breckinridge County Herald-News, issue dated Thursday, November 16, 1978 Glenn E. Hendrick, an 88 year old Irvington resident, died Sunday, November 12 (1978) at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Louisville. A retired carpenter and Veteran of WW I, he was the son of the late Dr. Thomas and Mary KENNEDY HENDRICK. Survivors include his wife, Agnes; and a 1/2 brother, Lee Hendrick of San Diego, California. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon (Nov 14) from the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Irvington). Breckinridge County Herald-News, issue dated Wednesday, February 5, 1986 Mrs. Agnes Hendrick, 88, of Mooleyville, died on Monday, January 27 (1986), at Highland Baptist Hospital, Louisville. She was born in Webster on August 9, 1897, a daughter of the late Doc and Thresa WATHEN NORTON. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Maymie King, Concordia, and Mrs. Elizabeth Friese, Los Angeles, California; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time) on Thursday, January 30 (1986), at the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, with the Rev. John Knight, pastor of the Lincoln Trail Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington. Breckinridge County Herald-News, issue dated Wednesday, March 14, 1990 Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Henderson, a 94 year old Irvington resident, died at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital (in Hardinsburg) on Friday, March 9, (1990), following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Henderson was born in Webster (Breckinridge County) on October 14, 1895, a daughter of the late James and Margaret DURHAM ST. CLAIR. She was a member of the Irvington United Methodist Church. Her husband, P.J. Henderson preceded her in death in 1965, and a son, James Henderson, in 1960. Survivors include, a daughter, Mrs. Hilda Gilpin of Irvington; two grandchildren, Jimmy Gilpin of Irvington and Lennie Henderson of Burrell, North Carolina. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 (1990) from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, with her pastor, the Rev. Gene Lovel, officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington. (I added the info I put in parenthesis) Breckinridge News, issue dated Friday, March 25, 1960 M/SGT James Henderson Full Military funeral was held Tuesday March 15 (1960) at Chapel No. 1 at Biggs Air Force Base, Texas. Burial was in Fort Bliss National Cemetery. M/Sgt Henderson of 516 Reynolds Street, El Paso, Texas died March 11 (1960). Age 45. A graduate of Irvington High School and an employee of the Ky Highway Department before enlisting in the Air Force in 1941. During his 19 years in service, he was stationed in several installations in the States and in Alaska before it became a state, South America, India, and England. He would have retired from service in January 1961. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elaine H. Henderson; a daughter, Lennie Alison Henderson of El Paso; his parents, Mr and Mrs P.J. Henderson and a sister, Mrs. Jess Gilpin, all of Irvington. Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington, Breckinridge County, Ky Henderson, Peyton Jesse 1885 - 1985 Henderson, Mildred St. Clair 1895 - 1990 St. Clair, James Vinson 1866 - 1935 St. Clair, Maggie Durham 1871 - 1955 Gilpin, Jesse Lee Jan 08, 1915 - __________ Gilpin, Hilda Henderson Nov 03, 1921 - ________ The Gilpin death dates were empty when the cemetery was last copied. I got the names and dates from Breckinridge County, Ky Cemetery Books, volumes 1 & 2. I think Vol 2 was published around 1995. I believe I found Glenn Hendrick's full name on his WW I Draft Card. I must have forgotten to copy the info down, so if you don't have access to Ancestry.com's databases, please let me know, and I will be happy to look it up again. It gives Glenn's full name and date of birth. I hope this helps give your research a big boost. Good luck in your search. A friend in genealogy, Peggy L. Russell [email protected]

Terry married a girl named Brabant who was, also, a friend when quite young.\ and lived in the area of Irvington aat that time. Anyone familiar with the family . Charles Severs
