Lynda, I have been trying to find more about a HARRISON COMBS for a long time. He made an affidavit for my gr grandfather's CW pension, At that time, my gr grandfather, LEMUEL MILTON BAILEY stated that Harrison Combs was his nephew. This was about l890 and at that time Harrison Combs lived in Lawrence Co Ohio. I don't have all my papers out right now, but if memory serves, Harrison was the son of JOHN COMBS. John Combs and his family lived in Wayne Co. VA/WV near where Lemuel and his wife and family lived from about l850 to l870 when it iseems both families moved to Lawrence Co Ohio. I know that Harrison Combs could not be Lemuel's nephew on Lemuel's wife's side since I have her family information. Therefore, I thought he must be a nephew on Lemuel's side and I was hoping to find something on Lemuels parents. Do you know the maiden name of Harrison's wife? Or the name of his first wife? I will be happy to share any information I have on this family. I am pretty sure I have a list of the children of John Combs, Harrison's father. Regards, Helen
