Thanks so much for the Little Cemetery Information - Don't know if anyone else has family buried there, but here is a newspaper article that I found regarding my great grandfather's brother Ance Short. From the Jackson Times - December 22, 1950 - Headline: Panbowl Resident Claimed By Death - A heart attack proved fatal to Ance Short, 72 year old Panbowl resident, at his home Tuesday, December 19. Born and reared in this county, the deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and was a farmer by occupation. He was a son of the late George and Mary Short. Married July 13, 1900 to Angeline Short, who survives, he leaves eight children to mourn his passing; Mrs. R. E. Grisby, Hazard; Mrs. Malcolm Barrett, Jackson; Mrs. Dow Little, Wolverline ; Mrs. J.L. Hatfield, Harlan; Mrs. Kermit Grigsby, Knott County; Ova Short, Knott County; and Ance Short, Jr., Covington. Also surviving are a sister and brother, Mrs. Fred Thomas, Jackson; and Holt Short of Booneville and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Shot will be conducted Friday afternoon, December 22, 2:00 at the Little Cemetery, Cane Creek, with the Reverend Beech Barnett officiating. Interment will follow there with Ray & Blake in charge.
