>From Richmond, Indiana, "Pal-Item" J B Trent, age 74, of Eaton, Ohio, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind., after an extended illness. Born on May 10, 1929, in Breathitt County, Ky., he was the son of the late James Henry and Francis (Smith) Trent. He retired in 1994 from Kemper Cabinets in Richmond, Ind., after 33 years of service. He was a Korean War veteran, member of the American Legion Post 215 in Eaton, Ohio, lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 8066 in Eaton, Ohio, Twentieth Century Club at Kemper and the Eagles Lodge 2202 in Eaton, Ohio. Preceded in death by brother, Alvin Ray Trent, and sister, Ima Jean Grooms. Survived by his wife of 21 years, Berneda (McClain) Marshall Trent; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie Lynn and David Moore of Cambridge City, Ind., and Billie Joe Walker and Mike Hurst of Richmond, Ind.; sons, James H. "Sonny" Trent and Tony Lee Trent, both of Richmond, Ind.; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Len Baldwin of East Liberty, Ohio, Linda Marshall and Jesse Scott of Key West, Fla., and Terry Marshall of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Walter Trent of Tennessee, George Trent of New Castle, Ind., James Trent of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Logan Trent of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Eula Jean Davis of New Westerville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH 45320, with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Jefferson (Darke County), Ohio, with full military honors conducted by the Preble County Honor Guard.
