Hi List , if you look at the 1810 Knox CO KY census you will see this- 1) Charles Blair- I find him listed on the 1796 Russell CO VA tax list- 2) James Pennington 3) Andrew COPE b) 1781 VA marr. 3 times he is on the 1812 White CO TN tax list died 1862 White CO TN . note: The late Harold L. Cope died 1994 did 30 years of research on the 3 Cope brothers William b) 1779 VA , Andrew b) 1781 VA and James Cope b) 1784 VA. 4) THOMAS ROBERTSON - marr. Elizabeth Cope ( some believe she may be a Wallace and Iam not sure) Thomas Robertson 1854 White CO TN has a court battle involving his estate and sons of Andrew Cope are listed namely Wiley Cope and Wallace Cope. 5) Samuel Maggard- he is on the 1819 Harlan CO KY tax list 6) Abel Pennington- 1819 Harlan CO KY tax list - may have married Elizabeth Bowling 7) William Jenkins 8) William Pennington- 1819 Harlan CO KY tax list may have married Abigail Caudill- the Caudills are on the 1820 Floyd CO KY census. near by are Joshua MUNCEY Ephriam OSBORN Back info- according to the Breathitt CO KY history John Back who marr. Catherine Robinson/Robertson bought 33,000 acres of land from my Wiley COPE in 1836 in what became Breathitt CO KY. The Backs are on the 1796 Russell CO KY tax list and so is John Cope unk. to me at this time. The Backs are listed in Culpeper CO VA where I find the Estill/Breathitt CO KY Cope related CRAWFORDS in 1787. Clue- something tells me that Cornelius Robertson killed by Indians in Russell CO KY 1788 is related to these Robertsons. Cornelius Robertson is listed by William COPE Sr and JR and George and William Holland/Hollon 1782 Montgomery CO VA tax list. Andrew Cope of Knox CO KY and White CO TN is a son of William Cope and Sarah Holland 1782 Montgomery CO VA. FYI- Muncey - this name is listed on the 1782 Montgomery CO VA tax list and Luke Muncey is one name found listed. In my Cope research in New Castle CO DE I found the name of Luke MOUNCE land records New Castle CO DE as late as 1740s. The Munceys' are also listed in the 1760s Augusta CO VA records. David

Gosh, these Penningtons and Muncys are mine too. My husband's family. Joshua Muncy for sure. But, the Penningtons and Muncys are intermarried. Farms in Chavies adjoined each other. In Perry County. My husband's grandmother was a Pennington. Her mother's maiden name was Muncy. And she (husband's grandmother) married a Muncy. So...her husband and mother had the same last name from the same family. Forgot to ask...what's the info on Joshua Muncy? I've checked and mine wasn't born yet.
