Listmates, This is my last chance to gather more info on the Kings' of Breathitt/Harlan Co. I will soon be traveling full time and shall have to put genealogy aside. SEEKING any info on OFFIE KING & wife Elizabeth Blevins last known to be living in 1910 with their grandson Andy Shouse. Andy named a son Offa Shouse b.1878. Son Charles King b.1859 married Mary Short, daughter of William Short and Millie Corum. I have a whole history on the above names but desire any "tidbits"about Offie I can get! He was a scout for the Confederacy in the Civil War and he was born 1831 in N.C. died in Breathitt by 1920 as there was no sign of him in the 1920 census or of grandson Andy Shouse. OFFIE had a brother, Butler King who wed Margaret CAUDIL children William and Elizabeth King, this family disappears after 1860 census to....???? Thanks.....contact me direct, please...
