Bill, I would say that Portsmouth is about 10 miles from Jackson. In another post I stated that the South Fork road going to Portsmouth was about 3 miles North of Jackson, Sorry the road is 3 miles south of Jackson. Take HWY 15 south out of Jackson going toward Hazard and in about 3 miles or less you come to the south fork road.
