I knew that you were related, spoke to you briefly a couple of years ago, and had planned to talk to you the last time I was down but it appeared that you were involved in an inventory and I know that's no time to be interrupted, especially when you're new on the job. I really appreciate your information. It fills in some gaps for me and when I have time to compare I think I will have a little more information to share with you. So it seems as though Rebecca did not go to Oklahoma. Did he take all of the younger children with him? Lazarus was already married and Joseph Lee married about that time. Some cousins and I attempted to talk to Lee Back, son of Lazarus and Mary, last summer but either he was confused and just didn't intend to tell what he knew. My father was like that, he didn't like to talk about the scandals. I have a draw knife that William James "Buck" took with him to Oklahoma and then brought back with him. Apparently he went with the intention of working. I wanted to write up a nice "pioneering" story to put in a display case with the draw knife but this is going to take some real creative writing now that I know the real reason he went.
