January 1,1940 in Johnson Fork, Breathitt County, KY Married: Elizabeth Gibbs on August 27, 1887 in Menifee County, KY s/o Lewis King b. 1816 in Franklin County,VA d. About. 1889 in Bloody Creek, Wolfe County, KY Married: Sarah Louisa Crawford on June 24, 1836 b. 1822 in Estill County,KY d. around 1895 in Johnson Fork, Breathitt County, KY Lewis was the s/o Moses King b. 1792 in Franklin County Virginia, d. December 22, 1871 in Bloody Creek, Wolfe County Kentucky. and Mary Alice Pugh b. 1794 in Franklin County Virginia Moses and Mary Alice had 8 children, Sparell, William, Jeremiah, George Washington., "Lewis", Fleming, Elizabeth and Isom. Moses' parents were Lightly William and Lydia Edwards King and I believe Mary Alice's father was Richmond Pugh (unsure of mothers name) Lewis and Sarah Louisa Crawford King had 13 children: A child that I believe died in 1838 I have no name listed, Armina, Jeremiah, Calloway, Oliver Cromwell, William D., James Wesley, John Breckenridge "Bud", Malissa, Clarissa, Catherine, "Jefferson Davis", and Harrison. Do you happen to have an Artie King who ( I think) is the daughter of Fleming King? Artie may have been a nickname..I do not know..I found the name on the death certificate of Kizzie Watkins Pelfrey.
