Carter.... This is all I have on Nathan (Curlyhead) and Amanda right now. Nathan was one of 16 children born to Richard Craig Combs and Orlena Deaton. He had a sister, Jemima; (married to Johnnie Griffith) but I don't think he had a daughter, Jemima. (Not saying you are wrong; just have not heard of her; or could have missed her.) ...... He was a brother to my great great grandfather, John L Combs. One of Nathan's brother Clinton, married Malinda Stidham. I remember Curleyhead and Mandy (as we called them) when I was a little girl. I can see how anyone can get easily confused with all the duplication of family names. I know I am confused frequently with all my Combss....:-) Theyr'e a tough bunch to keep straight....:-) John L's brother, Clinton had a son, Chester. Chester had a son Lester.
