Carter, I have Lula Combs d/o James Combs and Arminia Eversole d/o Abner and Martha Eversole. I will taking a trip to KY. in the fall, I am planing on going to the court and library to check for records. Do you have any thing more on this family? Thank you, Donna Brewer Boshell
Donna Sorry if I confused you. I was asking about parents of James Combs. I have a lot of the older Combs lines and would like to tie James in if you have his parents. Hi, Does anyone know the name of Nathan Brewer's parents? He was killed in Breathitt Co. Ky on election day. He md. Sylvania Hatton, d/o Martha Hatton [who were not married]. Thanks...... Wanda Brewer Shepherd
Hi, Would you know the date when Nathan Brewer died? or possibly have a newspaper account of the shooting? My 2nd great grandfather Crain Flinchum, was said to have been wounded in an election day shooting in Breathitt, and spent the remainder of his life bedridden. He died in 1911, but I don't know when he was shot. Darrell Lowe wrote: Hi Darrell, I have more notes, but my computer room is in a mess right now, as I'm keeping my 3 grandchildren. We're almost done building 2 bedrooms onto the back of the house for them, then I'll have their things out of here, and maybe I can find things then. But, I'm going to Tenn. this week-end, and I can ask my uncle when he died. I remember his wife, but never knew him, thank goodness. From what I've heard, he was a mean man. His wife was glad when he died. She used to visit my grandma and grandpa all the time. As they raised me, I was always there for Sylvany's visits. She always gave me a silver dollar. I have about 6 notebooks on the Brewer's and Hatton's, and know the info is in one of them, but can't seem to find them all right now. I'll ask my Uncle if he remember's the date. I don't have a newspaper clipping or nothing. Just family history. Stories passed down. My Grandpa was a great story teller, and I'm compiling a book with all his stories about when he and grandma were young. I also want some gen. in it, and that is why I wanted to know Nathan Combs parents. I have them somewhere, but can't find it........My mom was b. in 1922, and I think it must have been after that, as they [she and my uncle] remember him...........sorry.........Wanda
