I am trying to find out the name of JOHN ANTHONY WAYNE PARKS 1st wife. He was born April 26, 1847 in West Virginia. He died July 12, 1937 in Kentucky. He must have married his first wife in West Virginia as his oldest child was born there. He had 3 children with his first wife. The children are: HARRIET TENNY, JIM & BOYD. Tenny was born in 1872 in West Virginia. If there is anyone who knows the first wife's name or can look up this info for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot! Dear Smith Researchers, One of my brick walls is my Smith & Maner /Maynard line. Do you have any leads on this family? George Whitley Smith 1816 NC-bef. 1860 poss Breathitt Co., KY & wife, Elizabeth Maner/Maynard 1820 NC or VA (See 1850 & 1860 Breathitt Co., KY census) He is listed in the 1840 & !850 Breathitt Co., KY census and on a Breathitt County 1852 birth record as Whitley Smith. In my files somewhere, I have a vital record that said his name is George W. or George Whitley Smith. In the 1860 Breathitt Co. census, Elizabeth is alone & listed as age 47 born VA. There may be clues on the actual census pages. I have not found any help on Geo. W. or Elizabeth's in 20 years. I look forward to a break through.
