    2. Thank you Monty and Vonnie, Now that you mentioned Lee & Wolfe counties are right there close to where he must have died. At least the doctor was from Filmore and thats in Lee County, right across the county line from Breathitt. I can't get the an Indexed version of the 1880 on Heritage Quest. Could some one see if there was a Sarah Fultz, Fults, Fulks or Fulse in 1880 Lee or Wolfe? I would really appreciate it muchly! Lynda

He is listed as Thomson instead of Thomas in that census. No Fulks in Breathitt 1870 but in 1880 is Nancy Fulks 73 b. NC, with Lourany 46 dau, Cynthia Perry 43 dau, and Cordelia Hughes 4. In 1900 there is a John Fulks household and a Thomas Fulks household.

    3. Hi Linda, The 1880 Census shows 18 Lee County and 27 Wolfe members of the Fulks family. They were probably related to the Fultz, Fulse families somewhere along the line. I remember one family that lived in Stanton, Powell, Ky, around 1950. They were fine people. 2. Is this the same Nancy Ann Bryant born March 15, 1824 & died May 21, 1904, who's married 2nd husband Elijah Bowling, Sr. on Sept. 20, 1859? If it is she had about 5 children with Elijah. ----- Original Message ----- From: <LMillerGTA@aol.com> To: <KYBREATH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2003 8:58 PM Subject: Re: [KYBREATH-L] Thomas Centers, b. abt. 1854, wife Pruda > Thomas Centers b. 1858 Knox Co., KY m.3-19-1874 to (Pruda) Prudence Miller b. > 1842. > > Thomas is the son of James Centers b. est 1824 and Nancy Ann Bryant b. est > 1826. > > Pruda is dau of Martin Miller b. 1805 VA d. 11-13-1858 Caney Creek, KY and > Nancy Rainey King b. 1811 Estill Co., KY. > > Henry Centers b. 1899, son of Thomas and Pruda. > > John Centers, brother of Thomas, b. 1844 m. 3. On the 1880 Breathitt, Georges Branch,ED14, I find Thomas Centers, 22, with wife Pruda 30. This was extremely hard to find on the census because they were stuck in clear at the end of this Mag. Dist. On the 1910 census, Breathitt, Jackson town, ED 1, I find Pruda Centers age 60 with Henry, son, 16. Can anyone help me identify the parents of these folks? I am especially interested in the Centers line in Breathitt county. thanks, Marilyn acmc@insightbb.com

    3. Marilyn, I'd be interested in finding out, too. My sister-in-law is married to Billy Ray Cayce, whose parents were Zack Neace and Mary Centers. Mary was one of the children of Thomas and Pruda. Mary and Zack died within about seven weeks of each other in 1945, and as I understand it, their children were adopted out by other families in the area. All Bill knew about his birth parents were their names, and I found out just a little about the previous couple of generations, but not a whole lot. Thank you, Derek Gilbert On Dec 15, 2003, at 9:31 PM, acmc wrote: > On the 1880 Breathitt, Georges Branch,ED14, I find Thomas Centers, 22, > with wife Pruda 30. 1. [KYBREATH-L] Andrew Couch, 1850 census
    2. Would appreciate any info on Andrew Couch m. Ann, 1850 Breathitt Co. census. Sending this to Perry list too for obvious reasons :-) I saw a record at the library in Jackson regarding drowning death of Andrew in KY river in the 1850's. At the time I didn't copy it since I "already had it"...<grin> Now of course it's in hiding. I've written the library some time ago and no reply. Anyone know what happened to his wife Ann (?) and children, William, 1841, Polly Ann, 1843, Cintha, 1856? Thanks, Kathy Kentucky Couch Kin http://swapasource.com

    3. -----Original Message----- From: Beckstrom, Barbara A Sent: Sun 12/7/2003 10:28 PM To: KYBREATH-L@rootsweb.com Cc: Subject: FW: DUNCIL / DUNSIL I am researching my dad's family that lived in Breathitt Co. for many years. My g grandfather was Stephen Duncil. He had a brother named John Sherman. Sherman married Alice Darr. Story has it that they never had any children of their own, but adopted a Hobbs girl (Mary?). And later adopted some of her siblings. I was wondering if anyone on the list has run across my Duncil family. Any information whatsoever would be most appreciated. I was in Jackson during your honey festival, and the courthouse was closed. I did find a few things at the library. The young man was most helpful but had limited time. Thanks so much, Barb in Michigan
