I'm still looking for my first cousin, Gary Back. He was born about 1960, his father was Henderson Back, son of Lee and Mary Jane McIntosh Back of Breathitt County, and his mother was Cordelia Bolin (sp?). He was in the Navy when his father died in 1979 and we haven't heard from him since. His father died suddenly in Cincinnati when he was just 59. At that time Gary's mother lived at Union, KY. She and Henderson had divorced and her last name is unknown. I've been told that his mother's brother was Arvel Bolin but that's all I know about her family. There were nearly 50 first cousins in our family and I don't think Gary knows any of us. While it's fun finding dead ancestors, it would be even better to find a live cousin. > > Karen Back Simmons > > > ==== KYBREATH Mailing List ==== > > > > >

    1. [KYBREATH-L] Thomas Walton Centers, b. abt. 1872
    2. acmc
    3. Has anyone been successful in finding him on the 1910 or 1920 census in Breathitt county? In 1900, he was in Georges Branch, Breathitt, sheet 5A, ED 5, visit 74/75 He and wife Lizie had children Cora, a son not named, and Nancy J. I am told that by 1910 he was married to Susie Miller. In an article about the deaths at the polls in November 1921, it mentions he was wounded there. It would seem that he surely would be on the 1920 census for Breathitt. In 1930, he is in Clayhole, sheet 3A, ED 13-11, visit 43/43 with wife Susie and his father Jim, Harrison Miller (brother in law) and children Ida, Isabella, Clinton, Kelly, Golden, Louis, and Chester. I am hoping someone can add more information. He is not my direct line, however I am hoping to fill in his family sheet and know more about him. Have any information about his children? Know anything about the circumstances of his son Clint's death at age 18 in 1935? According to his death certificate, he was shot down in Clayhole KY on Oct. 14, 1939. One other researcher says a man by the name of George Craft was the one who shot him. Would anyone have an obituary? thanks, marilyn
