Some KDI listings; RUSSELL CORNELIUS 081 BREATHITT BREATHITT 01-07-1975 001 00186 1975 RUSSELL DAVID 049 BREATHITT 01-31-1916 013 06339 1916 RUSSELL JOHN C 093 BREATHITT BREATHITT 10-01-1991 050 24698 1991 STACY BETHANEY 032 BREATHITT 05-11-1923 026 12766 1923 I believe these are probably the Russell's we are looking for. Couldn't locate anything on Lucinda, Harlis or Rilda. Lucinda may have remarried after David died as she was still young and may be why Rilda was living with her sister Bethany. I can't say why we aren't finding these folks in the Breathitt census for 1920, they should be there, but they aren't. Will pass on anything else I happen to find on these folks. Freddie
Has anyone else found ANY of the sons of David & Lucinda in 1920? Their daughter Rilda age 16 is living with Simon & Bethany but I can't find anyone else. David & Lucinda could have died and Bethany is raising Rilda. Did John, Cornelius, & Harlis maybe go away to work??? I have Heritage Quest and can't find anything on it. Of course, there are a few pages of each census that were just impossible to read but surely they wouldn't all three be missing. Anyone know if John & Cornelius married? All of the Stacys were in Knott County in 1900 but I don't find any Russells there in 1920. This is quite a puzzle. She is the only Martha Stacy in Breathitt >in 1910. > Hi Yvonne, Yes, believe you are correct. It's the only Martha Stacy I have been able to find. Carter Combs lists her as marrying Harlis Russell in 1912, and the Ky Birth index does list her as having several Russell children. However, I can't seem to find this Russell family in the 1920 or 1930 Breathitt census, at least so far. I am going through the 1920 Breathitt census right now and have viewed all but about 4 precincts, but no Harlis Russell family yet. They must be there as the KBI shows her having children in Breathitt county from 1913 through 1923. Freddie

I don't know if Carter shows Bithania Russell married to Simon Stacy, but I do. I didn't have Bethany/Bithania's parents or family until Carter gave it to me, but I do have Simon Stacy's family. Simon was s/o William Barlow Stacy and Sarah Ann "Sally" Ritchie. William Barlow was s/o John Stacy and Cynthia Smith; he was also a brother to my GGGF Manford "Dock" Stacy. Freddie Wilson

Does anyone have info about William & Elizabeth Harvey, parents of at least Esther, Nancy, Jane, John. What is their relationship to Nancy Harvey who married Nimrod McIntosh. Also, is the "John age 4" shown with William & Elizabeth in 1860 their child? Elizabeth would have been 54 years old when he was born. In 1850 there is a John age 22 in their household.
I am sorry this will show up on several lists , but I am hoping someone can help me !! Does anyone have a listing of those buried in the Stacy and/or Stacy Barlow Cemetery in Breathitt county? Or would anyone know where I could obtain a listing of this cemetery? Are the Stacy Cemetery and Stacy Barlow two different cemeteries or the same one? I am searching for the grave site of Manford "Dock" Stacy, wife Lune Engle Stacy and their family, and believe they will be found there. Thank you for any help you can offer, Freddie Wilson

Hi all, I am working on 3 ROARK women found in Morgan Co., TN before 1860. Rebecca and Emily ROARK married in Morgan Co., TN in the 1840s - based on their Civil War widow's pensions. The third was Savannah ROARK found in the household of Edward R. and Rebecca ROARK GREEN in the 1860 census in Morgan Co., TN. Since Rebecca is listed as being born in KY and her father in SC in the 1880 census, I am trying to establish her parents. Of note, there is a John and a Barnabas ROARK found in the old Morgan Co., TN deeds and court records prior to 1840. They are not found in the county in 1850 or later. Is anyone out there familiar with the John ROARK and Mary BACK family found in Breathitt Co., KY in 1850? I would love to hear from you! And I am happy to share data. TIA, Georgeanne
