    2. I'm trying to locate graves of Mathias Gabbard and Sarah (Sally) Vanhouse Peters Gabbard. Have been told they may be in Clay County at Brown Mission Cemetery on Rt. 11 or Soaper Cemetery off Laurel Creek. Do any of you know where these cemeteries are or a contact who could help me find them? I'm trying to plan a s.e. KY trip and hope to locate them. These are my 3rd gr-grandparents. Also have rumors they are buried somewhere in Breathitt Co. Thank you. Kathleen Couch Latshaw (Kathy) --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 3. McQuinn Cemetery Many thanks to all for helping me locate Guage, KY on the Map. I have still not heard from anyone who has been to the McQuinn Cemetery, but it is listed on the USGS National Mapping Site. This site says the McQuinn Cemetery is in Breathitt Co., KY (USGS 7.5' x 7.5' Map: Guage) Latitude: 373532N, Longitude: 0831204W. I found the McQuinn Cemetery on a topographic map. It is located on Rt 30. Route 30 runs along side Quicksand Creek between Jackson and Hendricks. The McQuinn Cemetery is located less than a half mile East of Gauge on the Left side of the road. I saw several cemeteries on the way to Gauge. Heading East on Rt 30 out of Rousseau the Risner Cemetery is on the Right. About a mile and a half further is the Roark Cemetery on the Left. Then, less than a half mile past guage, on the left is a landmark called Big Caney Ch. (Is that a church?) The McQuinn Cemetery is located just past this landmark. I have been told that the McQuinn Cemetery is not documented in the published books of cemetery records yet. I do not know how big or small it is. I just know that my Elijah Wilson's death certificate says he was buried there in 1917. I do not know why this cemetery was missed, perhaps it is not visible from the road? If any locals want to take a look, I'll pay for the film for pictures of the headstones. Melody of Dallas, Texas Email: mel@truevine.net
