    1. [KYBREATH-L] Theo G & Maggie Gabbard Cundiff 36th Annual Reunion - Jackson, KY
    2. Carolyn Strong
    3. Greetings Cundiffs, Gabbards and Related Kin! Just a note to let you know about the Cundiff reunion planned for this year. It will be Saturday & Sunday, Sept 20th & 21st. On Saturday will be the annual picnic at the Theo Cundiff Farm on Mill Creek; and on Sunday a pot-luck sit-down meal at the Senior Citizen's Building on Broadway, in downtown Jackson. Directions to the Farm: Turn off Hwy 15 at the Frozen Creek Bridge in Vancleve. Follow Hwy 541 2 miles to Mt. Carmel High School. Take a left up the hill on Mill Creek Lawson Road. After about one mile, look for the "Cundiff" welcome sign and the lane winding across the meadow to the white farmhouse. The picnic is pot-luck so bring anything you care to share. We will also be having a silent auction to help cover expenses so anything you care to bring would also be welcomed. Items to be auctioned include handmade arts & crafts, quilts, drawings, tools, birdhouses, and many novelty items. Great fun!! Sunday is also pot-luck and begins at noon. We will have a brief business meeting, devotional time and memorial. Bring your family photo albums to share, and as many relatives as will come! We need each other to hold our family connections and to keep up our Cundiff history so please plan on joining us for 2 wonderful days of fun and fellowship! Any questions, you can contact Cousin Robert Cundiff at 606-666-7382 or rccundiff@highstream.net. You can also contact me at carolyn.strong@verizon.net (2 dots) Hope to see you there! Carolyn

    1. [KYBREATH-L] Lookup please
    2. Sandy Muncy
    3. I'm looking for a death date and/or death certificate for my great grandmother Julia Ann (Jett) Bryant. She was born in 1846 or so and probably died sometime between 1880-1893. Does anyone have a way to look this up? I'm also looking for place of burial. She was reportedly buried in the Hugh Bryant Cemetery in Athol but I've just visited there and didn't find it. There were a lot of unmarked graves but her husband, Hurum "Hugh" Bryant had a very nice marble stone and his second/third wife Surilda Johnson also did too---right next to him. I did not see Julia anywhere but don't think it likely they would have buried her in an unmarked grave. I think it more likely that she isn't buried there. Of course I am assuming she died since I can't find her in any census after 1880 and Hugh is remarried in 1893 but I don't know that for sure. Any help will be appreciated. Sandy

I did get their burial &/or tombstone information from the library in Jackson. I would really appreciate the tombstone photo if you would send it to me. The cemetery transcription done by the Nobles, Herald and Spencer has Emily listed as died Oct. 5, 1912. Their children are: Eliza Ann (1868-1936) Martha (1873-1979) Ellender (~1876-) Alfred (1878-) Polly (1879-) Margaret “Polly” (1882-1970) Floyd (1883-1976) Lee (1886-1964) Elizabeth (Lizzie) (1891-1977) Jailie (1893-1977) Oatie (1900-1992) Mary Ellen America Eliza married John Anderson, s/o McCoy "Mack" Anderson and Jemima Johnson Anderson. Eliza and John are buried in the Ed Anderson Cemetery in Canoe. They are my husband's grandparents. I have nothing on the Hollon line except for Levi and Elizann Counch who are also buried in the Hollan Cemetery, according to the transcription, and their daughter Emily. Would be grateful - - I will do the genealogy happy dance in your honor (or anyone who has the information) if you have other information on the family. Thanks to Dennis also for the information. I have few Gabbard's identified in the Combs/Anderson/Keene/Hollon/Chadwick/Angel lines that I'm working on, and not the couple you both are related to. Where does Henry fit in the line? How are we related? Lois I'm still looking for something on the Keene Cemetery, though.
