Robert Knight McCormick was born in Danville, KY in 1911. By age 18 he was working as a copy boy for the old Washington Daily News in Washington, DC. He later went to work for Colliers Magazine and when they refused to send him overseas as a foreign correspondent during WWII, he went to work for NBC. He became the capital reporter on the first NBC-TV nightly news with John Cameron Swayze. We know his mother's name was Maude but have no other genealogical/biographical information about this family. Robert K. McCormick's daughter, Nora, and I are seeking any biographical information we can find as part of a company-sponsored DiversityDay project to see what we can gather in 30 days time.
