The spelling of family names suffered some peculiar changes over time... 8^) We are wrestling with the Ison/Isom/Isham and Gardner families in Boyle/Garrard/ Washington Counties of KY. They married into the Epperson, Rosel/Rossel/Russel, Taylor, Thompson, Phelps, Agerton/Edgerton, Askins and Beasley families. Any clues you can share would be most gratefully received.
