Greetings, everyone. I just wanted to update you on a couple of changes that have been made to the mail list and the Boyle County, KY website. First, I have had the gateway turned on between the Boyle County message board and this mail list. Messages posted to the board will now come to the mail list, including the text of the message. If you reply to one of these messages, please post your reply to the board instead of this list, or the poster may not get your reply. If there are any problems, please feel free to let me know. I have added a few things to the Boyle County website. I have begun adding birth records to the website. I will continue to add records, so check back frequently. If you have birth info (or any other information) that you would like to share to be posted to the site, please let me know. In response to a guestbook post, I have added a surname registry to the site. Hopefully, this will be useful to each of you and others that have Boyle County connections. You may find others that are researching the same families in Boyle County. The surname registry can be found at http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyle/surname.html To help you find what has been recently added to the site, there is now a "What's New" page, where you can find out what has been added to the site recently, in an easy-to-track format. The What's New page can be found at http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyle/whatsnew.html A new site search engine has also been added, to help you find records or info on specific names. I am also going to add a photo gallery to the site very soon. If you have photos of Boyle County or your Boyle County ancestors that you would like to share, please let me know. Have a great day! I am unsure who put these pages together, but wanted to share them. It is very moving to see how the rest of the world reacted to Tuesday's bombings. Both of these pages have a lot of images, so are slow to load, but well worth the wait. http://www.fatwallet.com/thankyou.htm http://www.axisdesigns.com/thanks/ Sherri

Hi all :) Thanks to a friend, I may have finally gotten a solid lead on my g, grandmothers family. Her name was Mariah Underwood, she was born in KY November 21, 1873. She married William Henry Rigney September 18, 1894. They lived in Lincoln County, KY. This is what was found on the 1880 Census... Luther Underwood father 37 born KY Catherine Underwood mother 32 born KY Elizabeth Underwood daughter 12 born KY John Underwood son 9 born KY Mariah Underwood daughter 6 born KY Mattie Underwood daughter 2 born KY Going by the box of postcards and letters I have, Mariah had a sister, her name was Mattie B. Her daughter visited in Harrodsburg in 1917 and sent mail from L.B. Underwood's home, and it mentioned Catherine. Apparently he moved to Harrodsburg before 1917. So it would SEEM that the pieces are starting to fall into place. I'm hoping someone on this list knows something about this Underwood family. Thanks for your help ttysoon Rena www.maxpages.com/generations http://OurVisualGenealogy.homestead.com/main.html http://StatesOfHeritage.homestead.com/main.html http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/r/i/g/Renamarie-Voron/ @>-^-----
Abner Foster is listed in the 1850 Census of Boyle Co.,, KY, District 1, p316; dwelling 21, family 22. If anyone has a copy or access to this census I need the age of his wife. On the poor copy that I have it looks like 33 or 38 and I have seen it listed as 58. Any help will be appreciated. Earl in VA
Good morning everyone. The Boyle County website has been updated, with the Boyle County Deaths listing added. While I know it is not complete yet, hopefully, the info will be of use in your research. If you know of corrections or additional records, please let me know and I'll add them. Because the listing is so long, at the top and the bottom of the page, there are links to each section to make navigation easier.
