Here is their 1880 Census entry. Shade Compton 28 Lucinda 29 Leona 9, b. Va. Sarah 7, b. Va. m. Alexander Hackney in 1886 Sa_____? 5, Va., female Charles 3, b. Ky m. Elizabeth Newberry in 1897 Tennessee 1, b. Ky m. Lewis Fuller By 1900 they had already moved back to Dickenson Co. VA. I guess Shade had died in Boyd Co. KY. Leona must have married there. I don't know of any other younger kids. There could have been. If anyone has access to the courthouse in Boyd Co. to do a marriage lookup on Leona Compton please do. If anyone can find a death record for Shade Compto please pass it along it will add tremendously to my research. Chris,
