IMOGENE JEAN MUNCY 96, of Springfield, died Thursday, December 21, 2000, in the Ohio Masonic Home, where she resided for nine years. She was born May 9, 1904, in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Henderschott) Lane. She was the surviving member of a family that included four brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death in 1982 by her husband of 60 years, Carmie Muncy. Jean was a member of Neal Chapter Order of Eastern Star, where she served several years as organist.During World War II, she worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in a civilian capacity. After the war, she worked for many years at Phillip and Carmen's Dress Shop as a sales person, where she made numerous friends. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Ginny Muncy of Springfield; grandson, Ronald Muncy of Forbestown, California; granddaughter, Diana Glasgow of Tyler, Texas; two great-grandsons, Scott and Kevin Hallmeyer; several nieces and nephews. Friends may ca! ll one hour prior to service in the Ohio Masonic Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2000, with Rev. Howard Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
