Hi! I am looking for a marriage, probably in Boyd County, for a woman who in the census shows up as Arcilla and Arcira Layne. I have found a descendant of hers, and she said that her name was Clarissa. This woman is a direct descendant, so there must be a marriage and at least one child. Clarissa (Arcilla) Layne was born in Ohio about 1862. She was the daughter of William F. and Susan M. (Stewart) Layne. The family moved from Lawrence County, Ohio to Boyd County in 1869. She was with the family in the 1880 census, and then she is not with the family in 1900. The family members mostly stayed in Boyd County or the surrounding area until their deaths.
