Thursday July 6, 1882 Ashland Independent carried this story: Catlettsburg.....Peter Brown, formerly a resident here but late of Aden at Four-Mile Creek, was found dead... It was first thgouth he was run over by a train but the coroner says that he was murdered. He was buried on Chadwick's Creek. This is an exerpt from a book Bygone Bylines from Eastern KY Newspapers.
