I am not sure whether we have a connection or not - Mine does not go back to 1835, but here is what I know. My grandfather George W. Dent (2/22/1888 - 11/20/1962 lived and died in Ashland, Ky. He was an engineer on the C & O Railroad for over 50 years. His children were Cecil, Vernon and my father Leo Dent. His father George W. Dent (1850-1/5/1934) was married to Nancy Rucker. His children's names were Pearl, Jack Edna and my grandfather George. Many of the Dents are buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashland, KY.
