Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XAB.2ACI/1781.3 Message Board Post: I remember the Ashland Dairy. It was located on Carter Avenue, between 25th and 27th St. I walked by it every day to school, and it was across the street from the Means Elementary school. This was in 1958-59. I know the school has long been torn down, and probably the Dairy, too. I lived in Ashland until 1967...I think the Dairy was still there then, so your milk can is at least 40 years old. By the way, my mother married a Quillen, (my stepfather then) and we lived on the Quillen family farm in Cannonsburg from about 1954 to 1956. I think I have corresponded with you in the past on this subject...did you ever find Vernon Asbury?

I have been looking for an Etta Hewlett who died in Boyd Co. between 1898 and 1900. She was probably born around 1880. I believe she was the daughter of Lafayette and Catherine Dollarhide Hewlett. Lafayette was born about 1844. His father might have been Jeptha D. Hewlett. This information may or may not be accurate. Have you came across these names at all during your research? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, Thea Gilliam Cleburne TX

    1. What's New for Sept-Webpage
    2. Mark Meinhart
    3. Boyd Listmembers, September was a crazy month for me. A lot was added to the KYBoyd Webpage, inspite of the early difficulties from late August through early September. Judy added several Census Sections for 1900 and redid a few of those so they can be uploaded and access easier. She really did a great job. She also scanned the 1936 yearbook for Ashland H.S. which is partially done, but can be seen now. I've added dozens of photos through out the Photograph section-Look for the NEW symbol. I also added dozens of Newspaper articles, including items on the Hatfield-McCoy Feud. That's a quick summary, just visit the webpage for a more detailed list for this month. I probably won't upload much next week, will be preparing for my annual trip to Hocking Hills and other things. I have recently won several yearbooks off EBAY and you will see them during the fall/winter season. I can't say it enough, I have uploaded over a thousand jpg's in Photographs, Newspaper articles, etc. They cannot be searched through the PICO Search Engine, so you have to read/view them to see what I have, especially the newspaper articles, yearbooks, books, etc. Fall has arrived, Mark _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
