    1. New Photograph Document Section-TEST
    2. Mark Meinhart
    3. I have added a temporary section in the Photograph area. You have two items for Documents: Documents and a Document-PH Documents is the like all the other Indexes. Document-PH has thumbnails half the size of the others. THIS IS A TEST AND I NEED INPUT-SPECIFICALLY FROM PHONE MODEM USERS. I need to know if it loads faster? I need to know if you feel it is still readable? Instead of putting Thumbnails at all, is a description good enough? I NEED YOUR INPUT ON THESE QUESTIONS. I cannot change the size of the pictures on the Webpages, but I can give different options for you to have a choice to see them. Thanks again for helping, Mark (Boyd C.C.) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The all-new My Yahoo! - What will yours do? http://my.yahoo.com

    1. PHOTO ON EBAY
    2. This is just an alert. There is a vintage photo of the Ashland Police Dept. for sale on eBay with 4 days left. I am not acquainted with the seller, who states some of the names of the officers as Joe APPLE, Red STAPLETON, Ed HURLEY, Clarence JAMES, KC WEBB, Fred GARHART, Elmer BAYS, Marion KEMPER, Charles HOWARD, Calvin HUTCHINSON, Curt NEWMAN, Chester MAY, Jimmy RICHARDSON, MC HUTCHINSON and others. Again, I do not wish to "promote" sales on the list. I just hope that, if there are any of these family researchers out there, they have the opportunity to purchase the picture. The item is listed under "Ashland, Kentucky / Ky Vintage Police Photo." Rebecca

    2. I just want to alert all listers to vintage photos for sale on eBay of people from the Ashland/Russell area with the surnames AUGENBLICK, AULIN, BORGARD, CARMAN and DODSON. There are 3 days left for bidding if anyone is interested in the photos. I am not the seller and have no acquaintance with the seller. I am just a fellow lister and genealogist who wishes to see that family photos be placed in the right hands! Too many times I've seen photos like these for sale at flea markets and just shake my head...how I want so badly for old photos to be placed with their families where they belong. Rebecca

    1. PICO Search for Boyd County
    2. Mark Meinhart
    3. Before I leave for the evening I would like to add some food for thought. I have mentioned this before, but it seems to be unnoticed by some. I have arranged the Index/Main Page for Boyd County so that the PICO Search is now towards the top of the Webpage Page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyd/ When searching or using this Website this is the best tool you have for find your ancestors. Type in a your Surname. You will probably get a couple of hits to a couple of dozen hits. If you get too many hits you can use the option of adding a first and last name and using FIND ALL WORDS AND/OR FIND EXACT PHASE. It is a very powerful tool. Keep in mind that it DOES NOT SEARCH PICTURES OR WORDS ON PICTURES. Take time and try it and have a good evening. ===== Hope you find what you are looking for - SMiLE :) ^ ^ . .
