Ross Cemetery is well aware of this but has their own funds for care in a local bank - complaints should be addressed to that board. The head of Boyd Counties Cemetery Committee is Joe Weis - they meet on a regular basis at Kentucky Farmers Bank, Summit.

Would anyone know if there is a Catholic Cemetery in Ashland back in the 1890's up to 1900? OR know where the Catholics were buried in the Local Cemeteries in Ashland? And if so how would one go about contacting them to see if a person was buried there? Have family of MICHAEL J O'CONNOR who had daughter ELIZABETH baptized June 22 1890 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ashland Ky..... Elizabeth is not on the 1900 US census with the family ... no one knew of her existence really until the Baptism records from Holy Family were received. Also I have been trying to find on the 1900 US census the family....back in Jan of 2001 a list member Sue Hall found the family for me and sent me the info...I have been in Ancestry last evening trying to get a origional copy of the census and can't find them... They were in Dist 5 June 5 1900 SD9 ED 15 PG 356A SHEET 8 Michaels name was spelt as MICHEL ...... If anyone has sub to Ancestry census and can go there and figure out where I go to to get copy of original census sheet I would appriciate the help..... Thank you SLC
Boyd Researchers, Since I'm still trying to find out where everyone is researching, I have a question for you. If you are researching a past family in the Kavanaugh area, would you please contact me. Let me know what Surnames that you are associated with. One of the books I have in my possession is the Church History for the Kavanaugh Chapel for the United Methodist Church. Rather than indexing the whole book, I will look for a specific name. ===== Hope you find what you are looking for :) ^ ^ . . Pam, Ross Cemetery on Lime Hill which is Jacks Fork is run by a group of trustees They have a savings account and usually hire Hack Estep boys to mow in summer. You should contact them if you have a complaint - The cemetery was donated by Clyde's grandfather Leonidas. Clyde was the son of Frederick Franklin. It falls under Kentucky's revised codes for non profit cemeteries. The J. D. Ross Cemetery on Bolts Fork also has formed a family committee and have made great strides in the last couple of years refencing and cleaning and resetting stones. Clyde Ross who resides on Jacks Fork is the head of that committee [diff Clyde that Clyde s/o Fred who is deceased and makes it confusing!!!] -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, February 03, 2004 8:42:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [KYBOYD] Re: Glenwood Cemetery This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
