    3. I would suggest calling the Ashland Independent (or the Boyd County Library to check on their old newspaper records) to see if an obit was run in Ashland, since he lived there prior to his death. Do you know where your father is buried? If not, when you obtain his death certificate from WV Vital Statistics, that should tell you his place of burial and may even have some family info on it, depending on who filled out the form. nola thacker austin, tx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy Rengel" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, February 06, 2004 10:16 AM Subject: [KYBOYD] Obituary - Ralph H Nunley > I am looking for an obituary for my father, Ralph H Nunley, dod November > 1963, last place of residence, Ashland, KY, died in VA Hospital in > Huntington, WV. > > Any suggestions on where I might go to find this? > > Thanks, > > Judy Nunley Rengel > > ______________________________

    3. Listmembers, Just to let you know that new things are happening at the KYBOYD Webpage, also. Added Campbell Family History by V. Reifenberger (Under Homepages) Fixed the Queen Family Photo Section (Under Photographs-Family) Added the Jesse Cyrus Cemetery Readings (Under Cemeteries) Replaced 1891 Partial Census with Whole 1891 Census (Under Census) Added History of Ashland, KY - 1786-1954 Index (Under General) GO TO: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyd/ ---------- **Added a Family Form Submittal Sheet (This Page)** The above is probably the most important item. Go check this out and submit your family tree. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS-PLEASE! and most IMPORTANT: If you leave any boxes blank, please type a dot (.) or hyphen (-) in that box. This prevents the form from losing the table attributes. The Submittal Form outputs a HTML sheet that all I have to do is put a name on it and upload. I have my first submittal last night and you can see the end result below: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyd/FGS/Rice.html and/or http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyd/FGS/groupsheetindex.htm TO SUBMIT YOUR FAMILY TREE GO TO: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyboyd/FGS/FamilyGroupSheets.htm The above was flagged to me by Teri and contributed from the Boone Ky Webpage Coordinator.-Thanks Have a good weekend! ===== Hope you find what you are looking for :) ^ ^ . . 1. [KYBOYD] History of Boyd County on Video
    2. Mark Meinhart
    3. Boyd Researchers, I've been debating on how to do this for a while and here's my offer. In 1988 there was a video released at that time called "The History of Boyd County" below is a brief description of it: Title: The History of Boyd County [videorecording] WOWK-TV ; D. E. Carter, producer; R. Friley, director. Publisher: Huntington, WV : WOWK-TV, 1988. Description: 1 videocassette (59 min.) : sd., col. with b&w sequences ; 1/2 in. I have contacted the above and you cannot buy this video anywhere that I'm aware of any more. I CANNOT sell this item since it belongs to the above. What I can do is copy if for you for personal use. To keep this legal, I don't want any money. If you want a copy, send me a blank video with postage and S.A.S.E. or package to send it back to you. Please do not ask me what is on it. If you want it, the offer is above. If you are into Genealogy/History of Boyd County and don't have the video, you have a chance to get it now. I reviewed it for the first time in years the other night and it covers Ashland and Catlettsburg only. It is narrated throughout with pictures similar to the ones I have been posting. Actually some of the pictures are from the Meinhart collection. Seeing my grandfather on there is quite a thrill. I will add, if I see this on EBAY from someone that I make a copy for, you will hear from me in more than one way. So don't plan on making a copy for profit. This is for personal use only. Have any questions, please contact me. I will post any follow-ups if I feel it necessary. ===== Hope you find what you are looking for :) ^ ^ . . The database gives name and what cemetery within Boyd County they are in if you do a search by surname. If you search by name of the cemetery if you know the correct name it will give all people buried within that cemetery that there is a reading for. The site works well if you are using Internet Explorer - Netscape takes a little more time to load.
