Battey Publishing Co., Chicago and Louisville, 1884. Pembroke District. ROBERT C. JAMESON was born in 1823, in Christian County, Ky., where he has resided all his life. His father, John D. Jameson, was a native of Virginia, and removing to Hopkinsville, Ky., in an early day established himself as a silversmith. His death occurred in 1837. His wife was Eliza Coleman, of Todd County, who died in 1834. Their children were: Robert C., James M., Elizabeth (Williams), Ellen, Sarah G. and David. Subjects education was obtained in the common schools of the day, but he has improved his opportunities to the best advantage, possessing a good library, containing some rare works. In 1844 he was married to Miss Susan C. Smith, and to them were born Eddie E. (Garrott), Bob E. (Reynolds), and David T. Subjects wife died in 1871, and in 1873 he married Mrs. Annie E., widow of Walter W. Pendleton, and daughter of Philander Barclay, of Russellville, Ky. Her children are: Philander B., Carrie K. and Loulie B. Subject is a farmer, has been a merchant, and is a dealer in wheat and tobacco, in Pembroke, Ky. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity, a Baptist and a Democrat. His portrait appears on another page.
