Jeff, JOHN CHEATUM MAYES lived in MIDDLESBORO,KY. BELL Co. what do you have on yours? JOHN CHEATUM MAYES was the son of STERLING & SALLY CARR MAYES. anyway i thought that.but he's listed as a 1/2 brother to my greatgreat aunt ELIZABETH MAYES. odd. as i thought STERLING & SALLY were together til death. that throws a monkey wrench into things. as the 1927 obit said JOHN lived on FORK RIDGE RD. that would be near or at YELLOW CREEK. i think HARRISON MAYES lived on that same road.
