As Poster 2 Sep 2002. PONTIAC, Mich. - ALFORD WILSON Sr., 74, formerly of Brownies Creek, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Pontiac, Mich. He was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Bell County, a son of the late Robert and Mary Wilson. He was a loyal and faithful member of Brownies Creek Missionary Baptist Church for 43 years. He retired from Pontiac Motors in 1980. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Dora Boatright Wilson; a daughter, Mary Ellen Wilson; two grandchildren, Joshua Alford Wilson, and Angel Ellen Wilson; brothers, Boyd, Dan, and Floyd Wilson; sisters, Gracie Wilson, Margaret Hughes and Rinda Pruitt. Survivors include his wife, Rhoda Wilson, Maineville, Ohio; children, Barbara (Darrell) Jackson, Columbiaville, Mich., Alford W. (Mary Ann) Wilson Jr., Waterford, Mich., and Robert Wilson, Brandon Township, Mich.; a grandson, Brian Jackson, Lapeer, Mich.; two sisters, Donna York, Clarkston, Mich., Ala Wilson, Pontiac, Mich.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Robbins presiding. Music will be provided by church singers. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
