Obit from The Pineville Sun. Dated Thursday, April 13, 1967: "Dorton Branch--Elihu Mills, 77, died Thursday, April 6 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was a native of the Mills community and son of Green and Sarah Jackson Mills. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eliza Mills; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha North, Fields, and Mrs. Frances Carnes, Indianapolis; two sons, Lot Mills, Knoxville, and Asa Mills, Dorton Branch; a sister, Mrs. Lula Gambrel, Pineville; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 8 at the residence with the Rev. Felder King and the Rev. Beckham Stanley officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Flats Cemetery at Dorton Branch. Durham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."
