Dated January 27, 1972 Mrs. Hettie Saylor Howard, 56, a well known resident of Stoney Fork, KY., passed away at the Pineville Community Hospital, Monday, January 10, 1972, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Howard was the daughter of the late Leni Saylor and Ida Caldwell Saylor. She was born in Leslie County, KY., July 15, 1915. Her husband, Ralph Howard, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church at Mill Creek. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary North and Miss Ella Howard of Stoney Fork; two sons, Clifford Howard and Ralph Howard, Jr., Stoney Fork; three brothers, John Saylor, Hulen KY., Isaiah Saylor, Pineville, KY., and Grant Saylor, Pontiac, MI; three grandchildren, Darlene Brock, Angelia North and Charles North of Stoney Fork. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 12, at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Thea O. Carter officiating. Interment following in the Howard Cemetery, Kettle Island.
