The Pineville Sun. Dated July 4, 1968: "Pineville- Walter P. Mink, 68, died Tuesday, June 25 at Mountain Home Veteran's Hospital, Johnson City, TN., after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Tennessee and son of the late Charles and Cora Lou Mountain Mink. Mr. Mink was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Hall Mink, Pineville; a son, Marvin Mink, Pineville; two sisters, Mrs. Perry DeBusk, Gatlinburg, TN., and Mrs. Bill Gass, Clarksville, TN; three brothers, Joe Mink, Monroe, MI., Kelly Mink and Porter Mink, Tazewell, TN.; 2 grandchildren, Michael Lee and Larry Wayne Mink, Pineville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 29 at Arnett Funeral Home Chapel with President Pascal Barton officiating. Burial was in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery.
