    3. The Pineville Sun. Dated May 23, 1985: "Virginia Gambrell, Middlesboro, passed away at the Pineville Community Hospital, May 17, 1985 after a short illness at the age of 92. She was born in Bell County to the late Franklin Napier and Lucy Slusher Napier. She was a member of the Evangical Church at Beverly, KY., and served 23 years as one of the mission workers at Red Bird School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Gambrel, her mother, father, two sisters, and nine brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Hendrickson of Middlesboro, KY; her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Gambrel, Rogersville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Cynthia Leigh Gambrel Crum, Greeenville, TN., Helen Joyce Hendrickson, Middlesboro, KY., Bobby Ray Hendrickson, Pineville, KY; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services were conducted Sunday, May 19 at the Arnett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. B. Bingham and Rev. William Boyd Bingham, III officiating. Pallbearers were Johnny Hendrickson, Dorvin Fuson, G. K. Vanbever, Honsel Biliter, Lyle Bailey, and Charles Bishop. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Crum, Luther Moyers, Marshall Montgomery, Guy Stewart, Homer Brackett, Dr. Jerry Woolum, and Dr. Steven Morgan. Interment was in the Roselawn Cemetery, Middlesboro. Arnett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements." I have no additional details of this woman. Mary Eldridge-Harris
