RESPONSE: While I don't know exactly which America HOWARD she was, it seems more likely she was born closely to the turn of the century that in the mid-1880's. This first America HOWARD listed was b. Oct. 1885 and would have been 35 years old at her marriage in 1920, not that means a heck of a whole lot because she certainly could still have had chldren.. She was the dau. of Daniel G. HOWARD (s/o Michael HOWARD and Rachel HENDRICKSON and he was also married to Judah WILSON) and his wife, Clarinda CHAPPELL (dau. of John and Elizabeth WILSON CHAPPELL and she was also married to a Clayton NAPIER). This particular family also included a Lucy HOWARD, b. April 25, 1872; d. June 22, 1944. Lucy was the 2nd wife of my g-grandfather, Harrison TAYLOR. They married October 6, 1895. Harrison TAYLOR died in 1904. Lucy also had a prior relationship with Elhannon SIZEMORE; married in 1906 to Willis WARREN and in June 1911 married to Sanders L. CARMICAL. She is buried in the cemetery at Pineville. There are at least 5 America HOWARDS I'm aware of but don't know which one she is. Howard 13. I show this America married 1904 in Bell Co to Robert Howard, son of William G. Howard and Mary Shackleford. Also have 5 children for America and Robert. One born in 1917 and one in 1922, so I don't think this is the America who married your Albert in 1920. Mary <
