Grace, Little is known about William & Mary Evans, parents of Cynthia Evans who married William Baughman. It is known that they are a separate Evans family from Jane Evans who "jumped the broomstick" with John Baughman & Cynthia Evans's son, Thomas "Jeff" Jefferson Baughman; Jane and Jeff never did officially marry. William & Mary Evans settled in the Whitley Co/Knox Co section around Greasy Creek and what's now KY state road 92. Members of these two Evans families did end up marrying down through the years, as they lived within a few miles of each other.
