RESPONSE: I am glad that you were sent the proper link. Seems out of staters paid no tax and the cost was somethng like $30. I bought mine around 2000 so things may have changed. At that time, the births and deaths covered from 1911 - 1999. There are also searcheable data bases for late marriages which are very good. These are from the 1970's forward to near the present. Groom's names, ages; bride's name and age and county are all provided. Searchable by name of bride or groom. As for the births, they are searchable by the entire surname or simply a few letters of that name. Helps when things are spelled in many different ways. Births are also searchable by the "maiden" name of the mother. This is a really great feature. Deaths are by surname, then first name, age, county of death, residence at death, date of death , Vol. and cert #'s and year recorded. Seems to me that if you have a Mac which I don't, you have to purchase something additional in order for it to run the CD's. You might also ask about a software program called "Access". Seems you have to have that in order for them to run. I know my computer tech installed it for me. Sorry I am not good with computers but wanted you to know.
