Debbie, If Ward Chapel wasn't listed in Harvey Fuson's History of Bell Co, Vol 2, that probably means it wasn't yet built. I'm not looking at the date, but from memory I'm thinking Fuson's vol 2 was copyrighted in the early '40's. Fuson was a superintendent of the Bell Co schools, and one would think he would have mentioned all the schools. Your best bet might be to put a notice in the Middlesboro paper since you haven't had any positive responses. Hi, I cann't answer your question on Ward Chappel, but I do know that Page Elem. on highway 119 was originally builded in about 1963. They did away with the two room school's house for grades 1 thru 8 that where located with in walking distance for children. I assume that Ward Chapel on 25E was probable builded around the same time frame. I hope this might help.
