Published 11-4-2002 A picture was published with this obit Dorothy June Smith June 3, 1934- Nov. 2, 2002 Dorothy June Smith, 68, of Monroe died at 8:55 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She had been seriously ill for three months. Friends may call until 9 tonight at Allore Funeral Home. She will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grape Missionary Baptist Church. She will lie in state from 10-11 am Tuesday at Grape Missionary Baptist Church where services will be at 11. Burial will be in LaSalle Township Cemetery; LaSalle. Born June 3, 1934, in Middlesboro, KY, she was the daughter of Cleave and Doshie (Thompson) Nash. She married Jerry C. Smith April 6, 1953, in Middlesboro. They moved to Monroe later that year. She was a homemaker. She also was a member of Monarch Holiest Church, Middlesboro., and attended Grape Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Carson Wayne (Julie) and Larry; both of Monroe, Jimmy (Sue) of Erie and James (Tami) of Toledo; five daughters, Kathie Smith, Julie (Marc) Iocoangeli and Carolyn Collins, all of Monroe, Shelia (Denny) Adair of LaSalle and Patsy (Alfred) Stanley of Erie; five sisters, Stella Mae Daniels, Minnie Partin, Helen Partin, Jean Evans and Connie Smith, all of Middlesboro; 26 grand- children, and seven great- grandchildren.
