Stella (Brock) Woolum Woolum, Stella -- of Flint, age 74, died Friday, February 14, 2003, at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich, Michigan. Funeral service will be held at 12PM, Monday, February 17, 2003, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Entombment in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation 2-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Stella was born in Pineville, Kentucky on January 30, 1929, the daughter of Andrew and Mae Brock, and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life. She married Thomas Woolum on January 1, 1946. She was a former member of Central Church of the Nazarene and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. Surviving are husband, Thomas; 3 children, Michael and Susan Woolum, both of Swartz Creek and Christopher of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Joe Price of Flint and Keiton Woolum of Swartz Creek; 2 great-grandsons, Britain and Hampton Price; 2 sisters, Mary and husband Buddy Collett and Willie Mae Kelton, all of Pineville, Kentucky; 2 brothers, Murphy Brock of Pineville, Kentucky and Clayton Brock of Flint; many nieces and nephews.
