Hello, I remember a Motel in Bell County from when I was growing up and I think that it was called Della's or something like that and I was wondering if anyone else remembers it. I think that a lady named Lila owned it. Thanks, Charlotte

Charlotte, On Log Mtn past where the Seiglers lived was a Deltra Motel that burned a few years ago. It sat on the hill on the right just past Fred Davis's house. A small section is still standing. I bet that's the one you remember. On 25E just before reaching state road 119 on the left were the Laurel Cove Motel and the Chained Rock Motel. In the town of Pineville were the Boone Trail Motel which was run by Oliver Hobbs and the Pineville Motel. Currently the town is trying to get a motel built at the site of the Forestry bldg which is across the road from the newly improved golf course. They're not having much luck so far. There are no motels in Pineville, now. The lodge at the Pine Mtn State Park is the only place between Barbourville and Middlesboro.
