He was born March 19, 1945, in Pineville, a son of the late Ralph Hershell "Shorty' Robbins and Verna M. Robbins, who survives. He was a 1963 graduate of Lone Jack High School at Fourmile, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Maineville, Ohio. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Robbins. Survivors include his wife, Deloris Hunter Robbins, Hillsboro; son Larry Robbins Jr., daughter-in-law, Rita Robbins, and grandson, Caleb Robbins, all of Groton, Conn.; son, Keven Robbins, daughter-in-law, Kim Robbins, and granddaughters, Lauren and Alecia Robbins, all of Oregonia, Ohio; mother, Verna M. Robbins, Pineville; brothers, Ralph Hershell "Herky" Robbins Jr., and sister-in-law, Rachel Robbins, Pineville; brother, Kenneth R. Robbins, and sister-in-law, Sarizel Robbins, Carrollton, Ky. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home with the Rev. Anthony Lovett presiding. Music will be provided by Rose Mary Rickett. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation was from 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. Monday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of arrangements. Harlan, Ky. - Charles C. "Skeeter" Cawood, 86, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2002 at the Harlan Nursing Home. He was born Jan. 22, 1916, in Harlan, a son of the late Frank Finley Cawood Sr. and Hattie hall Cawood. He was a member of Harlan Methodist Church, and a longtime member of Harlan and Middlesboro Country Clubs. He was retired from the Kentucky Highway Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lenarue Cawood Tarr and Virginia Cawood Stamatis; two brothers, Judge Cawood and F.F. Cawood; one nephew, Frank Cawood; two step-children, Hubert Metcalf and Linda Senters. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve "Gee-Gee" Cawood, Middlesboro; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Don Parsons, Harlan, Ky.,; three grandchildren and their spouses, Ginger Parsons Parks and husband, David, Loyall, Ky., Donna Parsons Wilkerson and husband Dwyne of Sellersburg, Ind., Curtis Scott Cawood Parsons and wife, Jennifer, Harlan, Ky.; four great-grandsons, Connor and Sean Wilkerson, Drew and Tanner Parks; two half-brothers and their spouses, Albert "Hap" Cawood and wife, Sonya, Yellow Springs, Ohio, Ray Forno Cawood and wife, Miriam, Harlan, Ky.; stepson, Morris Metcalf, Middlesboro; special granddaughter, Elaine Hunley, Harrogate, Tenn.; step-grandchildren, Steve Metcalf, Bart Metcalf , Robin Hunley John Senters, Sherri House, and Eddie Metcalf; special friend and caregiver, Lawana Howard, Harlan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Josh Hensley presiding. Music will be provided by Donell Busroe. Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is in charge of arrangements. Frakes - Albert Jones, 87, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital, after a long illness. He was born June 28, 1915 in Pruden, a son of the late Frank Jones and Nancy Ellen Dixon Jones. He attended Lincoln Memorial University and graduated from Union College in Barbourville, where he majored in education. He was a devoted and respected teacher in Bell and Claiborne Counties for 49 years. He retired in 1984. He accepted the Lord as a his Savior in 1957 and was a member of the Lower Laurel Fork Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Edra Jones, sister: Effie Lambdin, 2 brothers: Orville and Raymond Jones. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmy (Charlene) Jones Frakes, Roger (Margie) Jones, Dayton, Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law: Norita (Harry) Parrott, Lafollette, Tenn., Nancy (Conley) Bingham, Middlesboro, Billie Jean (Orville) Dillmon, Ewing, Va., daughter: Peggy Jones, Middlesboro; six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and other relatives, especially friend and caregiver Lorene Osborne. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 P.M. Wednesday at Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. George Peace, Murphy Buell and grandson Tim Jones presiding. Music will be provided by Irving Gipson and Dickie Siler. A graveside service, for immediate family, will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at Fuson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shird Hurst, Tim Jones, Dwayne Taylor, Jamie Powers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Vincent Kaw, Edgar Maiden, Rev. W.B. Bingham. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M.
