As posted by the Middlesboro Daily News 8 Aug 2002 STONEY FORK - Danny R. Hoskins, 53, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at his home. He was born Jan. 28, 1949, a son of the late Berry and Cardie Saylor Hoskins. He was a believer in the Baptist faith and had been a self-employed carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of the DAV and was a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley and Frankie Hoskins. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Kaylor Hoskins; children, April (Mike) Bush of Pineville, Angela Sinkhorn of Tazewell, Tenn., Tina (Billy) Baird of Pineville; grandchildren, Daniel Champlin, Adam Hatfield, Kayla and Katelyn Baird, David and Eric Messer; sister, Doris (Ray) Sinkhorn of Pineville and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Thea O. Carter. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Hoskins family Cemetery, Stoney Fork with full military honors.
